My new rug from Layla Grayce. Pick a color!

I am getting this beauuuuuuuutiful rug from Layla Grayce (for my dining room), and cannot decide if I should go dark or light. Going with a neutral (obviously. have we met?), but this will be right behind my dark grey Serena and Lily chair, so I'm a little torn. I know which one I'm leaning toward but would love your thoughts!

Dark or light? Which one would you choose?

CrossFit and two events today. Brunch tomorrow. Should be fun! Happy Weekend!

  6. Dark :). With the dark S&L chairs, the dark will tie your living and dining areas together.

  7. I would say light for your living room, but because this is an eating area and a walkway, the dark is safer.

  8. I would probably go with light ...

    Really however not seeing the room or the exact shade I would choose whatever will contrast a bit more if you want to make the chair and rug pop and not blend into one another. Unless as someone else said there might be food involved or heavy foot traffic. :)

  9. I actually really like the dark. The pattern is really clear and of course with food, darker's usually safer. I love it! Lucky gal!

  10. I would normally always choose the light but the dark is calllling to me. and it IS safer in terms of durability.

  13. I vote dark! I like darker colors on the floor and lighter colors as your eye goes up in the room. Happy shopping!

  16. Light! The chair and the dark rug are too similar in tone so go lighter with the rug. I wish we had shops like these in Australia!

  18. I vote dark! BUT if the chair is a similar shade of dark grey, then I would go with the light rug to give the room some contrast!

  23. I love the dark grey with the dark chair. {It looks like Resto grey!} I'm sure you'll have tons of white in the room too, to brighten it up. They're both beautiful though so you can't really go wrong!

  24. I love them both but go with the light gray - that way it doesn't conflict with your chair and it will pull the two colors together !
