Exciting things are happening for The Everygirl.
Our home page has a fancy new slideshow.
We have some amazing features coming up.
We have a trip planned in less than two weeks.

I am still processing how much my life has changed in the past eight months. Working on the launch was one thing, but running a website along with my own little business and this blog is a whole other ballgame. Look at me referencing sports. My sister would be so proud.

Weekends are non-existent and my day to day life has been turned upside down. It isn't easy, but it's so worth it. And I am just so unbelievably thankful for Alaina. She always manages to boost my spirits on the days when I need it most. She never stops singing, smiling, or making me laugh. What did I ever do without her?

I had a chat with my friend Jess Constable this morning and she gave me some great advice. Every time I speak with her I feel inspired and motivated. I highly recommend that you attend one of her workshops if you are able.

What do you do when you need a little down time?

And check out one of my favorite fashion bloggers / shop owners on The Everygirl today.

  1. It's really quite inspiring; all you've done and are doing. Get some rest, but keep up the amazing work and continue to motivate your fans, like me :)

  2. I can literally "hear" the excitement when I read your posts!
Congratulations on the ongoing success with Every Girl! :)

  3. I love your office and that chair, where is it from?

  4. I absolutely love the look and feel of your office - I would be inspired every morning just sitting at the desk!

And, congratulations on starting your own business and launching your blog, and doing all the things in between. It is an incredible feat to do all the things that you do, and so inspiring for your readers to follow your story and find our own passions to pursue!

  5. When I need downtime, I have some wine and take a nice soaking bath. Works everytime. Just remember that you are awesome and there are so many of us out here that aspire to be like you. Chin up and keep up the GREAT work! :)

  6. You are so inspiring, you are obviously having so much fun with your career right now! Honestly, the Every Girl is just an amazing site, I always look forward to new posts! I really like your feature posts with the slideshows, and loved the most recent one with the fashion blogger. When I have down time, I like either reading a book or magazine, going for a walk, having a relaxing bath or just spending time with family! x

  7. I so know how you feel. Sending positive vibes from across the pond. Keeo at it girl! :)

  8. I absolutely adore you little office space. It's so fresh!

  9. SO jealous of that work place! Gorgeous. X

  10. I can't even imagine how much time & effort goes into creating The Everygirl! Love it & admire you for going for it.

I need to be alone when I really need downtime- taking a walk w/my iPod, playing w/the puppy, or reading a book are my go-tos!

  11. You have the most chic home office! It works so well in that small space and I would love to recreate that look or do something like it!

  12. First of all, I'm so obsessed with that chair of yours that I spent a solid 30 minutes sitting in its twin sister in my local West Elm store haha. Second, I'm so excited to see what you two have in store! And when I need down time? I run. I'm boring I guess, but running just gets me disconnected from my e-mail and phone and leaves me alone with thoughts.
