I know The Nanny Diaries isn't worse than Pootie Tang (thank you, Alaina) but it was pretty terrible. See the disgruntled and uncomfortable looks on those faces? We all felt that way during this movie.
What's at the top of your list?
This should be fun.
lol love this question. hands down, my answer is battlefield earth. utterly irredeemable :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I tried to watch "How Do You Know" the other night and had to turn it off after a few minutes. So bad!
ReplyDeleteI thought Something Borrowed was pretty horrible. I cringed throughout the movie, and if i hadn't paid $9.50 for a ticket, I probably would have walked out.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a shame too, because I know it's not highbrow literature or anything, but I totally loved that book! The most recent terrible thing I watched (only for a few minutes)-Legally Blonde 2. Wow. As bad as the original was great!
ReplyDeleteMy husband tricked me into watching Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift w/him when we were dating. I'm pretty sure I've never seen anything as horrible.
ReplyDeleteValentine's Day. Funny how both movies have Scar Jo in common...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go with Van Helsing, the one with Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale. My husband and I kind of have a running joke about it because I like to remind him about how he made me watch it when we are picking out movies to watch :)
ReplyDeleteanything that is a trilogy so like all of sci-fi.
ReplyDeletei hate sci-fi.
i also strongly dislike scarlet jo.
Worst movie...Valentine's Day. What a let down. ScarJo is not my fav
ReplyDeletei have to second valentines day. taylor swift was painfully awkward.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jackie-such a bummer because I thought the book was really entertaining! They did a lot of things differently in the movie though. I don't know if it's the worst movie ever but...I hateeeddd Employee of the Month. So dang stupid.
ReplyDeleteI'm also going to see Valentine's Day. I wanted those hours of my life back at the end of the movie. TERRIBLE.
ReplyDeleteomg my husband and i were just talking about this movie the other day! we had the terrible pleasure of mistakingly going to see it in the theatres!! we were in hell!!! i agree, worst movie. that and big mommas house lol
ReplyDeleteAny of the "Movie" movies...like Date Movie, Epic Movie, Scary Movie, and unfortunately the list goes on. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be interesting to see what everyone else says. Haha.
Mendi @ Her Late Night Cravings
I didn't mind Nanny Diaries...
ReplyDeleteI think there are a lot of bad chick flicks. There are bad ones that are okay but then there are bad ones, that are really bad like Leap Year.
first, LOVE the pootie tang reference - i had totally forgotten that movie happened. second, worst movie of all time: anything with katherine heigl. trite. boring. bad acting. blah.
ReplyDeleteEasy. Twilight... any of them. Now don't kill me ladies, Edward Cullen is decent to look at but how can you stand the acting and the AWFUL script? I mean the guy sparkles, come on.
ReplyDeleteJersey Girl. Employee of the Month. Horrible!!
ReplyDeleteHahah too funny!!!
ReplyDelete...would you judge me if I admitted that Pootie Tang was hilarious?
ReplyDeleteTo me, one of the most terrible movies I've seen is Unbreakable with Bruce Willis, terrible!
ReplyDeleteI was so disappointed in "He's Just Not That Into You"... The book was so great and the movie did it no justice!

Leap Year was terrible! I was excited to see if because I love Amy Adams, but it was just plain awful of a movie!
ReplyDeleteTwo movies came to my mind at once - Stargate starring Kurt Russel and Archie starring Jude Law. Both absolutely horrible ones!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with whomever else said How Do You Know. Horrible!
ReplyDeleteI have to second One Stylish Day At A Time's suggestion of Twilight. Seriously? It was an after-school-special vampire movie. Baaaaad. That isn't my worst, howevah. I'm sure no one has heard of The Fountain with Hugh Jackman (huge WHAT???) and Rachel Weisz, because it was TURRIBLE, but I suffered/slept through that movie when spending the night with friends out of town a few years ago. Every time I woke up, I was all - this movie is straight up trippin. Sucks donkeys.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh. I feel better now. Thank you for that!
Shannan
Don't mess with the zohan = TERRIBLE. But so does every adam sandler movie!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't think of one, and then I saw someone wrote Employee of the Month and I'll have to second that one. Ugh. Shudder.
ReplyDeleteHands down, the 90s movie "Congo" - I still have nightmares.

He's just not that into you, I thought it would be inspiring since I watched it when I was single, boy was I wrong!

i have been pretty disappointed with the New Years Eve, Valentine's Day movie series...it just doesn't compare in anyway to Love Actually and you know that is what they were going after.

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. The worst part was that my husband and I had heard how funny it was. We were the only people in our friend group who hated it. We sat through the whole 2+ hour movie thinking maybe something would happen that could turn it around. But no, we should have walked out. Also, have to agree that Valentine's Day is pretty awful (esp after all the hype).
ReplyDeleteGigli with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Hands down.
ReplyDeleteWhere do I begin?
ReplyDeleteHell Boy 2
Legally Blonde 2
Home Alone 4
(Are we seeing a trend here?)
New York Minute
Twilight
The Fountain
He's Just Not That Into You
Tree of Life (I don't care that it was nominated for the Oscar. It included 15 minutes of a computer screen saver masquerading as artistry!)
Australia. I am an Australian and I am a massive Baz Lurman fan. However, I cannot get back the three hours of my life I wasted watching this movie.... I'm still bitter about that, three years on!
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt - Gigli. Absolutely awful, had to switch off after 20 minutes.
ReplyDeleteIt took 3 cosmos and a drunken stuper to make it through Something Borrowed. Good book...terrible movie!
ReplyDeleteI second (third?) How Do You Know. Such a bomb! How did so many normally decent stars manage to have a simultaneous moment of insanity and end up making that?!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, Scarlett Johansen is soo annoying!
ReplyDeleteOh my god, "Made of Honor" for sure. Simply awful.
ReplyDeleteI second the Australia comment. I can normally sit through bad movies.... That one took me three sittings to watch the whole thing because I kept thinking it would get better.
ReplyDeleteMidnight In Paris - an hour and a half of my life that I can never get back - and I like Owen Wilson!!

ReplyDeleteLetters to Juliet. I wanted to like it - I was in the mood for a good chick flick. Unfortunately it was HORRIBLE in terms of standard chick flick material.
ReplyDeleteIt was so bad that I thought I was being punk'd. I thought that maybe I was watching the "Not Another Teen Movie" of chick flicks... I guess if you go into it with that attitude it might be funny.
I just wasted two hours of my life and $1.20 on "Love Wedding Marriage" with Mandy Moore. The plot, the acting, EVERYTHING ABOUT IT was awful. Also, did you ever see "How Do You Know"? It has Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson and Jack Nicholson in it. I figured it wouldn't be great, but little did I know how terrible it would be. Blehk.
ReplyDeleteDidn't realize how many people had already referenced "How Do You Know" - Glad I'm not alone in that. And thank God I'm not the only one who thought that Something Borrowed was bad. The whole plot was so disappointing - I mean, who could resist John Krasinski?!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm done now. :)
I'm really surprised no one has mentioned 'Face Off' with Nicholas Cage and John Travolta. They literally switch faces. So bad...also, 'It's Pat', that was nuts.
