What. A. Week.

I am sitting at my desk with a glass of wine, unwinding after a very long week. After Rue went live, my apartment was featured on Coco + Kelley, CasaSugar and sfgirlbybay! I have seen lots of photos pinned on Pinterest, including a pin of my office by West Elm. Sharing my home was a little scary. I didn't know what anyone would think. All of your comments, tweets etc have been so sweet. Thank you!

I also shared a tour of my home on my blog.

I hit a wall yesterday. I was asked how I was doing and started crying. Girls. We're so emotional.  Running my little graphic design studio while launching a website has been a lot to handle. I know how fortunate I am to have so many wonderful clients and I am beyond excited for the upcoming launch of The Everygirl but I need a little balance in my life. What do you do when you need a little balance? I think I need an intern.

I played with my shelves a little bit this week and my Serena and Lily Pandan bin/ Buddy's new toy box arrived yesterday! I absolutely love it. And sometimes a long day requires a glass of wine or two.

I finally launched my new pre-made templates and have more to install as soon as I can! $10 off for my blog readers today only. Jump on it.

I did a little budget friendly online shopping. Sometimes a bright pop of color can brighten your day. I ordered this sweater and top. Look at me wearing color!

These Kate Spade earrings arrived! Love them.

I am meeting Audrey for an hour of shopping after work and we have planned a girls night in with Sarah, Taylor & Shari. A little wine, time with my girls and Midnight in Paris. This is exactly what I need right now.

Alaina and I will be working on The Everygirl this weekend. Follow us on Twitter for updates! We are expecting a few inches of snow and it's freezing outside. Literally. Freezing.

I love Chicago. I love Chicago. I love Chicago.

  3. Nobody deserves success more than you, Danielle! You've worked so hard for it and it is paying off in a big way. Side note, that gap neon sweater is just too cute! I wish I would've known about it yesterday when it was 30% off. Ugh.

  17. Funny you mention that a pop of color can brighten your day. We must have had the same type of day/week. Yesterday after work I went to get a manicure and got a BUBBLE GUM PINK color just because I felt like I needed something happy! It's amazing what colors can do :) Have a great weekend!

  23. You have so many great projects going on, it can be a little overwhelming at times I'm sure! I hope my signing up for your graphic design services yesterday wasn't what pushed you over the edge! :). Sounds like you have a great weekend lined up, and seriously your apt looks like the most relaxing place to unwind. I know you're awfully busy but if you ever decide to go into interior design I would be your first client-I'm just obsessed with your apartment. Your pictures totally made me want to redecorate!

  26. Danielle - I didn't think you had enough to do so I just order a pre-made template. :-) I've been eyeing them since you launched the new ones last week, and the $10 off sealed the deal. I can't wait until the Everygirl is active; it will definitely be on my list of daily reads. Hope you have a fabulous, enjoyable, extremely productive weekend!

  27. awwww I totally get it when someone asks how you're doing and you start crying. I'm often not even upset or feeling particularly emotional, it's just being asked and knowing that I haven't even slowed down enough to ask MYSELF that question in weeks. You're doing a lot and DEFINITELY deserve that glass of wine. I read your blog all the time and look forward to each and every post... the pics of your home were lovely, and I know you're such a good mom to Buddy :) things will settle down, be SURE to make time for yourself!! ps - I love those new earrings!

  32. I have no doubt you'll figure out how to balance it all. But I remember thinking it was a light bulb moment when I realize that no matter how hard I work, there will always. be. more. So I learned to work hard while I was working, earning myself some relaxation time. Good luck :)
