it's friday

Giveaway from Jessica Durrant {the girl genius who designed the pretty lady in my banner}. She is giving one of my readers a chance to win one of her beautiful prints!

Sarah + I are co-hosting a week of birthday fun on our blogs and the following week I will have a week of fall inspired posts on my blog. Have some fun birthday giveaways this month. Get excited.

Saw this on The Glamourai. I am in love with the brilliance of this campaign. Karen Elson! Alber Elbaz! Amazing.

Very successful trip to Randolph Street Market with Alaina, Lesley and Shari. We met up with Taylor and Audrey + bumped in to Anne + Jack. Then Sarah + a friend joined us at Market Bar for lunch. Oh. And the Antique Kitchen booth was there with watermelon lemonade and that delicious corn off the cob. Obsessed.

Clockwise from top left / Alaina, lunch, my new silver tray + vintage glasses.

After Randolph, Shari, Lesley + I went to West Elm, Pottery Barn, F21, Z Gallerie, The Container Store, Anthropologie, Lululemon, J. Crew + Williams-Sonoma. We barely survived 10 hours of shopping that day.

Clockwise from top left / new tape dispenser, my clock, plant from Jayson Home & Garden, WS chalkboard jugs

Jen contacted me on Twitter + asked if I could take some headshots for her. She came by Monday and we got some great shots. The pup l.o.v.e.d her.

The pumpkin spice latte returned to Starbucks in Chicago a week early. So you could say it is exclusively in Chicago this week. I love this city.

Had a chat with Great Aunt Rose last night. She's amazing.
Rose: Are you exercising while you talk to me?
Me: Yes.
Rose: I don't know how you manage that.
{Rosie never learned the art of multitasking}

Rose: Do you need absolute silence when you work?
Me: No. I listen to music.
Rose: On the radio?
Me: No, on the computer.
Rose: On the computer? You have music??? How does that work?
Me: You have access to everything on there.
Rose: You're kidding me! How does it record music? It's too much for me to understand.

Looking forward to a 3 day weekend! Riding bikes with Sarah, running errands, getting a little work done + hope to do some blogging on my balcony. And maybe I'll finally buy that paint for my entry. Maybe...

What's at the top of your list this week? What are your plans this weekend?

I haven't been by in a little while. I thought I could stay away from blogging, but apparently I can't. It looks like it was a great week, and I think the pup LOVES everybody ;) Kim, xo

Did you know that you can get pumkin spice and other seasonal drinks year round? They just don't promote it until the season.

Aw, thanks for including the photo session in your post! I'm dying to get to the Randolph Street Market. Is it only happening at certain times?
