To my blog readers -- thank you for following me on this journey! I have loved documenting my life this past year + have loved getting to know some of you.
And to my sweet little pup -- thank you for giving up life in LA to live in a city where it is freezing cold half the year. I know you had no choice but you gave me someone to come home to. Couldn't have done this without you.

A recap of how I ended up here. Started my blog + then started designing blogs. Designed Kelsey's blog, we started emailing, I visited her in Indy/took a road trip to Chicago {in Nov 2009}. Happy 1 year in Chicago. I moved here from New York two and a half years ago and it is also the best decision ever. Scary at first but SO worth it!!

Wow, the time really flies! Happy one year + many more happy albeit cold years ahead of you! When I moved to Chicago in 2005 I really didn't know where my life would take me. But within that first year I learned a lot about myself, made amazing friends and started dating my now husband! It's a great place and I'm excited to still be close enough to visit often.
Happy Chicago Anniversary! You have no idea how brave I think you are for leaving the temperate climate of LA for the cold and windy city. Also, you're the sweetest for thanking your pup. They do really make things easier!
