Celebrating a year in Chicago at Citizen.

Sunday was the last day of my first year in Chicago. It started with a Zoku ice pop on the balcony. With the pup, of course. I spent the afternoon at North Avenue Beach with Sarah + my friends Matt and Rebecca. It was really fun. We were all covered in sunscreen and as you can see in the photos below, I did not get any color! I've taken the sun savvy pledge + have embraced my whiteness.

After the beach I headed to Citizen for a little get together with friends + to end my first year in Chicago. I moved here not knowing anyone and spent yesterday evening surrounded by great friends. Not a bad way to end my first year. Citizen happens to be one of my favorite Chicago bars. The patio + rooftop are always so fun on a warm summer day.

With Sarah. Wish I had gotten photos with Lesley, Anne + everyone else!
Excuse the beach hair. Had 30 min to shower + get dressed.

Turkey sliders {not mine}.
I had the black bean veggie burger on a pretzel bun. So good!

Sangria + steps to Citizen's rooftop.

A big thank you to the people at Citizen for the great event!

If you are in Chicago -- I definitely recommend that you stop by Citizen for some food + drinks. And as Anne said, it was an appropriate choice to celebrate being a citizen of Chicago. Love it.

Ha I love that, celebrating your chicago citizenship at Citizen. I went there for the first time this Friday and I loved the outdoor patio - perfect for a summer night like you said! We didn't have any food but next time I go back I'll have to get something, the menu looks yummy!
