girls who inspire // Caitlin of Sacramento Street

So excited to bring one of my favorite bloggers to you today. I have not "met" Caitlin of Sacramento Street but have had the pleasure of designing her blog, sharing emails, chatting online + even exchanging a few text messages. Caitlin is a fellow California girl who is chic, sweet + stylish. Be sure to stop by Sacramento Street for lots of beautiful inspiration!

name & age:
Caitlin Flemming (26 years old)

hometown:
Portland, Oregon

current home:
San Francisco
meaning behind my blog name:
For the life of me I couldn’t come up with a name so one day while I was walking around my neighborhood I realized that it should be named after the street I live on. It’s the first place I made my own home and a place where I’m constantly inspired.

current job:
Marketing Manager at DivineCaroline.com part of Meredith Corporation

dream job:
Haha, I have a huge passion for Interior Design (I credit my mom for this) but at the same time I actually love having a day job that has to do with growing a business and helping it succeed. One day, I’d love to own a business that put these two things together – helping people grow their companies to their full potential is the perfect job for me.

Another dream, to write and publish a book with my mom. We know some incredibly talented designers and creatives around the world.

if i could travel anywhere...
I’d go to Paris for its beauty and elegance, Morocco for its mystery and treasures, Bali for its peaceful tranquility, and Kauai for its activities and relaxation.

something unique about me:
I speak fluent Spanish because I lived in Mexico City for five years. You’ll find a scarf in my closet for every occasion. I used to herd cattle in Eastern Oregon during the summer.

i like:
going to pilates or for a walk around my neighborhood, buying way too many magazines every month, helping redecorate friends apartments and going to the farmers markets every weekend.

i watch:
Midnight in Paris – a new favorite. Every week White Collar (ummm, because Neil is HOT) Criminal Minds and then I can’t get enough reality tv – it’s the best mindless tv when I’m working late.

listening to:
Florence + the Machine and Adele are my favorite Pandora stations.
5 things that inspire me:
* Walking around my neighborhood – with a view of the Golden Gate on one side and adorable shops on the other.
* Traveling – any where you go you’ll find something that inspires you. It’s incredible what a different city across the world or even a city near your home can do to fill your heart with inspiration.
* I’ve been inspired by the tight knit blog community that I’m apart of. I’m constantly inspired by some of my best friends who are fellow bloggers.
* My husbands passion for his career and dreams. He never doubted himself that he wouldn’t get into the baseball industry and he did. His drive always keeps me dreaming for what I want to do in life.
* My mom, she’s always inspiring me to do what I love and never stops believing in me.
favorite nail polish: OPI Sweetheart – it’s my go to!
favorite perfume: Eau de Rochas what are 3 things every home should have?
* Treasured finds – they make a house a home.
* Fresh blooms.
* Personal photos that make you think of fond memories.
what are your favorite online furniture shops? Jayson Home + Garden, West Elm and Terrain.
who are your favorite designers?
Interiors: Vincent Wolfe, Elizabeth Martin, Grant Gibson.
Fashion: Dries Von Noten for shoes, Clare Vivier for handbags, Isabel Marant, Erica Tanov and Michele Janezic for clothing.

a few favorite home accessories:
Anything and everything by Astier de Villatte and my Erica Tanov quilts.

Great post! Both of your blogs were actually a big inspiration to me to start my own, so it's fun to see you "together" here :)

When I first moved to SF I lived on Sacramento Street too! I think that's how I found Caitlin's blog. Also, love Adele and Florence & the Machine on Pandora, have you also tried Ellie Goulding?
