The BIG news. Introducing...

Alison of Long Distance Loving + I are so excited for the launch of...

You may remember that I recently wrote this post. I had a {non cancerous but atypical} mole removed and will need to go in to the dermatologist every 6 months to have my skin checked because I now have a higher risk of developing atypical moles that could eventually become cancerous. I have already scheduled my November appointment! Please let our stories serve as your wake up call!

Alison read my post and shared her story with me. We decided that it was time to do something to spread the word and encourage you to take care of your skin.

I am going to keep this short + sweet because you can learn EVERYTHING you need to know about being sun savvy by visiting our new site! In short, we want revolutionize the way we treat our skin. Please stop by, sign the pledge to be sun savvy + spread the word! Remember -- we have not shared our stories or started this site to scare you in to taking care of your skin. We just want to see you protect your skin + stay healthy!

  2. After reading both your stories, I went and got a check-up for my skin. I was a little nervous about a couple of moles but luckily they were nothing to be concerned about. My doc actually complimented me for not having as much sun damage as an almost-30 yr. old usually does! Thanks for the push. :)

  3. I can't tell you what a 'mean to be' this is!! Over the weekend I noticed one of my moles looked different (I think??) and had it on my list to make an appt today. Better safe than sorry...heading over to check out the site, sounds like a wonderful idea!

  6. Love that you put that site together! I signed and put the badge on my blog. Such an important cause. (And you just reminded me to make an appointment with my dermatologist.)
